My fondest memories of Art (Toogie) are led of with the time Art, Sandy McFall, Rik Vonfossen, and a couple other unindited co-conspirators were headed thru the FHS school grounds after a few illegal beers at the Green Frog.......we saw a police car rounding the corner down by the Elem School, so we all scattered. I ducked into the big bushes next to the main enterance of the HS along with several others. When the police moved on, we sort of gathered up on the school steps again but Art was missing??? All of a sudden we heard a clamor from above??? There was Art clinging to the flag pole at the very top. How we missed spending the night in the slammer, I will never know.
