CHARLES RICHARD YOAKUM, FHS FLYERS CLASS of 1964
Charles R. “Richard” Yoakum, age 71, of West Carrollton, OH, passed away Monday, January 2, 2017. He was born January 30, 1945, in Greene Co., OH, the son of the late James Robert and Helen Louise (Bellows) Yoakum. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Wayne Yoakum; four siblings, Irene Mae Silcott, Robert Lewis Yoakum, Mary Ellen Yeaton, and Dorothy Kay Hill; and a great-granddaughter, Catherine Mary Long.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Linda; two children, Vivian Nannette (Corey) Araujo; and Charles Andrew (Sonya) Yoakum; three grandchildren, Stephanie (Tim) Long; Danielle Araujo; Hunter Yoakum; two brothers, William Roger (Sandra) Yoakum; and Kenneth Earl (Judy) Yoakum; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family to include Jennifer Banks and Taylor Squires.
Richard was a member of the Wright View Church of the Nazarene and he enjoyed working on cars, repairing computers, and playing with his grandson, Hunter. He served our country in the US Army during Vietnam.
