Cynthia Monroe Hayden
Passed away peacefully in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico on June 12, 2015 due to complications from an aneurysm. She was 68. Cynthia was a resident of Redlands for 51 years.
Cynthia was born December 3, 1946 in Boston, MA to William and Rosa Monroe. She grew up in Fairborn, OH where she graduated from Fairborn High School before moving to Redlands. Cynthia graduated from Westmar College in LeMars, IA before beginning her teaching career with Rialto Unified School District where she met her husband Robert. Cynthia was a teacher for 35 years with Rialto Unified before retiring in 2003. Cynthia continued to make children a priority in her retirement by becoming a foster parent.
Cynthia is survived by her husband Robert, of Redlands, her twin sister Sylvia Lantz, of Redlands, her brother William Monroe, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, her daughter Jennifer Walsh, of La Verne, her son Aaron Hayden, of Atlanta, GA, her daughter Claudia Guzman, of Beaumont, and her six grandchildren.
Memorial services for Cynthia will be held Saturday, June 20 at 2:00 at the First Baptist Church of Redlands at 51 W. Olive Ave. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Child Help Agency, 1743 Orange Tree Ln., Redlands, CA 92374.
