I spoke with Gail Bentley Andrews (FHS Class of 1965) today. My heart goes out to her. Gail was engaged to Jim Tabor and they had set a date of September 1 to be married. On the morning of August 21, Jim complained that he was having difficulty breathing. Gail called 911 immediately and Jim was rushed to Soin Medical Center. Jim was stable enough to be moved to the ICU. Despite the efforts of a team of trauma physicians, Jim's condition deteriorated and he passed away. Gail described herself as being totally shocked and bewildered. Jim had been in relatively good health, active, and happy. He had been recently diagnosed with COPD but seemed to have the condition under control with medication. His passing was sudden and unanticipated.
