Our class was and is a group of friends. Carl's passing is another in a long line, and the line will continue to grow. Carl was a good friend for over 50+ years, and he will be sorely missed. Denny sent me the email about his passing and I had a very hard time dealing with it, and still do. His wit and fidelity will definitely leave a huge hole in all of our hearts. I thank God every day for knowing all of our classmates, and I know that someday, sooner than we know, we'll all meet up again at that great "reunion" ahead.
I was shocked and saddened to hear of Carl's passing. I knew he had some health issues but not as serious as they obviously were. I wished I had the opportunity to have reached out to him in his time of suffering and given him some joy in our friendship. He was such an uplifting person and always made me feel good about myself - that is a true gift I will miss.
