I had not heard about Elaine's passing. I dated her for a while in our Freshman year, but have no seen her since graduation.  As with all our classmates it saddens me to hear of their passing. Our class is getting smaller and smaller. Thank you for informing us about Elaine. Any reports on Ilene, her twin sister?

You're not too far behind me Mike. So "hoping you have a super good birthday". 75???....You know if you ADD the 7 & 5 and that equals 12 but if you don't like being 12 you could multiply 7X5 and you could be 35. Or maybe I'm just befuddled in my new 75 y.o. brain.

My thanks to you for the B'day wish. Well, I must say that you don't look like a scared or timid person now. I didn't know you were feeling those things back then considering you were on a date with one of the more popular ladies at that time. I was an SF medic plus was lucky enough to have gone through the complete SF engineer/demolition (blow em up or so em up take your choice) and the SF ops and intel course before going to VN. Also got the scuba school in too. I did not stay in to retirement. Went Physician Assistant school at Duke in 1971. Worked in Trauma ER for 25+ years and in Surgery for 10+ yrs. with some side periods doing care and follow up with HIV/AIDS patients in the military. Got to do research with Walter Reed Hosp. and UCLA Medical with that. So worked for DOD. Then went to DOJ for a while and ended up with the DVA until retirement in 2016. I did not come back to Fayetteville until my stint with DOD in 1988. Was living on the coast of NC doing Trauma/ER. Am hoping I might get to return the the coast but have been toying with the possibility of moving to west Texas. I have not been in touch with anyone from our class that went to VN. I don't think they were in the 5th SF VN were they. I take it that is your wife in the pics. Was she a Fairborn grad or student at one time? It was good hearing from you and all the things you were doing back then. Keep in touch if you want. Stay safe

Gayle, this is a bit early but just wanted to wish you a beautiful, wonderful birthday in this time of covid and unsure times. I hope your are doing well and have some good plans for your birthday. Peace and happiness for you. You are so good at sending birthday wishes to everyone, I hope you get MANY returns on yours.

Well, it comes right back to you Mike. A VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you sir. I would like to get to the reunion but a prior commitment makes that not available. I would like to see you and a few others again and maybe I will one day. But we all are going to be around for the next reunion …….RIGHT?? You take care of yourself. Happy 72nd birthday Dottie. Hope it is all you expected or wanted. I'm early but still cleaning up from Florence and also going down to the coast to help clean up. I am good and well.
